They rocked the house!". These are but a few of the accolades the Roadside Assistants have garnered since forming in 2021.
The Assistants are: Sue Stein-lead vocals, David Stein-guitars and vocals, Steve Barry-guitars and vocals, Rick Schaut-bass and Tony Friello-drums and percussion. Seasoned veteran players with combined experience totaling close to 110 years, the Assistants play a cohesive blend of “Classic Rock”, Blues, Funk, R&B and Americana, including some of their own well-crafted originals. With strong lead vocals and harmonies, a searing double guitar front and a rock solid rhythm section, the band interprets the songs they choose in their own style, a refreshing alternative to the wave of note-for-note tribute acts that dominate the current live music scene.
The band has a tastefully curated repertoire, a distinctive sound, crack musicianship and an engaging stage presence. The Assistants have been keeping their audiences boogying at clubs, outdoor events, microbreweries and private parties around the Capital Region for the last three years and are looking forward to sharing the fun in 2025. They plan to go into the studio this summer to record some of their newest original material.
